Wind Point/Windy Flats

Windy Point/Windy Flats is one of the largest wind energy projects in the United States, as a 90 square-mile wind farm spanning 35 miles along the Columbia River ridgeline.

 

Goodnoe Hills

With the majestic panoramic views of Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood in the background, the Goodnoe Hills Wind Project, located in Klickitat County is just 15 miles southeast of Goldendale, Washington. The 4,300 acres of rolling hills with grazing and farmland produces 94 megawatts of electricity annually.

 

Go! Solar

GO! Solar is a Gorge-wide, community-based solarize initiative with the mission of increasing the number of residential solar electricity systems in Klickitat, Hood River, Wasco, and Skamania.

 

H.W. Hill Landfill Gas Project

Roosevelt Regional Landfill, with a lifespan of 80 years, will generate enough renewable energy to avoid the consumption of 20.4 million tons of coal.  This means the system will offset a total of 35.4 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions.

Roosevelt Regional Landfill is the 4th largest permitted landfill in the United States.  The landfill accepts two million tons of waste a year.  It is permitted for 120 million tons.
